Element Logic successfully introduces 'FlexBin' at multiple customer sites

With the innovative new development 'FlexBins', system integrator Element Logic has further optimized warehousing in AutoStore systems: 'FlexBins' enables different bin sizes (220 mm, 330 mm, and 425 mm height) to be used within a single AutoStore system. This opens up new use cases for AutoStore storage and increases storage density without compromising the speed or reliability of processes. For example, picking, kitting, staging, and buffer processes can be implemented directly within the system.

Element Logic developed 'FlexBins' as early as mid-2024 for several pilot projects, tailored to customer requirements for order consolidation in AutoStore.

Combined with a system design tailored to customer benefit, orders picked at the AutoStore with 'FlexBins' can be returned to the AutoStore using the taller bins, efficiently stored there until retrieval, and called up as needed. No additional rigid and inflexible technology is required for this. Furthermore, using AutoStore with mixed bin sizes for picking and consolidation means that all bins and goods flows are handled by the same technology (AutoStore robots).
