There was a gap between the performance of an stacker crane at approximately 120 dual cycles per aisle per hour and that of a classic shuttle solution at up to 1,000 dual cycles per aisle per hour. KlinCAT® addresses this gap. With a lifting height of approximately 1.5 m, each KlinCAT reaches up to nine container levels and can be deployed multiple times on top of one another in each aisle. The throughput of a single-aisle, double-deep automated small-parts warehouse with, for example, 12 m height and 35 m length, designed for cartons, trays or containers, can be increased by more than three times compared to a classic stacker crane. KlinCAT® is distinguished by its compact design and low weight, contributing significantly to improved dynamics and higher throughput performance. Compared to stacker cranes at approximately 5 m/s and shuttle systems at approximately 2 m/s, KlinCAT® achieves a powerful 4 m/s.
