AirRob is a robotic bin handling system that sets a new standard for mobile robots and fundamentally changes existing solutions. AirRob is cost-effective, scalable, and efficient. The system saves space and labour. It guarantees high storage density and high operating speed for storage, transportation and picking — all in one system.
Overview
The system consists of AirRob, Floorbot, shelving, transport bins and a workstation. The system is free from imitations of racks and floors and can be easily deployed and expanded. Bi-directional picking works for both the front and rear of racks. An aisle width of just 0.85 m creates more space for additional shelving. A gap of 10–30 mm between bins creates room for more bins. A single AirRob can pick and store 150 bins per hour. One workstation achieves 600 bin inductions and 600 bin retrievals per hour. More than one AirRob can be deployed in a single aisle, and the entire system can be easily expanded by adding further shelving. AirRob can transfer bins to the Floorbot at any position beneath the rack. The system can handle more than 20,000 bins per hour, enabling flexible applications.
