GEBHARDT KARIS® Bauform 2

Overview

The GEBHARDT KARIS® Bauform 2 is designed for the flexible transport of containers, cartons, and other load carriers weighing up to 150 kg. Its extended vehicle dimensions enable system-efficient loading of multiple small load carriers. Load handling is performed by an additional load handling device (LHD) such as a roller conveyor. Higher conveying levels are achieved through a scalable spacer mounted on the KARIS. Using two laser scanners with a 360° all-round view, KARIS navigates reliably and efficiently to specified positions. This contour-based navigation, combined with decentralized swarm intelligence, enables cost-effective and seamless integration of KARIS into existing lines and systems. The vehicles communicate with each other and with other systems via WLAN. The intelligent battery management system coordinates automatic docking at the charging station based on the utilization and battery level of the KARIS fleet.
