Volume reducer AMI-XXX for scoring, cutting and folding collapsible boxes to different format heights, as well as fully automatic lid closing with hot glue for 1–2 formats.

Overview

The system consists of a robust frame construction with full protective guarding and is designed for processing 1–2 collapsible box formats. Identification of the collapsible boxes is carried out by means of an upstream centering unit. Box transport is handled via a roller conveyor or shuttle system between stations. The system automatically adjusts to the respective collapsible box format. The format height is determined by measuring the contents of the collapsible box at the system infeed. Product height detection is performed by a mechanical measuring plate that responds sensitively to back pressure. After measurement, the collapsible boxes are scored and cut on all 4 sides down to the scoring height. Two separate magazines are available for lid closing. The lid blanks are coated with hot glue and the boxes, moved into position, are closed using the wrap-around method.
