Overview

iFD's material flow control system ensures efficient and transparent management of automated transport processes. It coordinates and optimizes complex material flow processes on automated systems, including automated guided vehicle systems (AGVs) as well as manual transport equipment. Numerous intelligent control strategies take into account priorities, sequences, availabilities, deadlines and more, thereby optimizing transport routes, preventing bottlenecks and maximizing resource utilization. The integrated WMS module enables WMS functions such as storage location and inventory management, picking, and more to be mapped for both automated and manual warehouse areas. An integrated SCADA visualization provides transparent monitoring and analysis of systems. All interfaces are browser-based and can be accessed on any device with a standard web browser, without any additional installation effort. The features of the standard software are customized to each client's requirements, ensuring that all connected systems work together seamlessly and achieve maximum efficiency and productivity. The Solution is modularly structured and can be flexibly adapted to individual requirements across industries. Our software can be used independently of any manufacturer for any automated system. This flexible Solution is therefore perfectly suited for both new projects and migrations.

Frequently asked questions

The software coordinates and optimizes transport orders for the inbound, outbound, and relocation of load carriers on automated systems. In doing so, it takes into account numerous control strategies such as priorities, sequencing requirements, deadlines, location availability, buffer sections, and more. It serves as the link between the system's PLC and the customer's WMS/HOST system, with which the software communicates via interfaces. In addition, it assumes WMS functions that the existing HOST system is unable to cover.
